We are saddened to announce that Robert (Bob) Allen Leibee passed away on
Wednesday, September 11th, 2024. He was born in Winner, South Dakota to Ira Francis
Leibee and Florence Irene Trow. They moved to California when he was very young and
he spent his childhood years in Long Beach. He attended middle school and high
school in Monterey Park. He was always good with his hands and went to cosmetology
school to become a hairdresser. He owned a beauty salon in Downey and that is where
he met the love of his life, Janice. She had just graduated from beauty school; they
were introduced by a friend and Janice ended up working for him. A few years later they
were married by Bishop Richard Brown on January 9, 1982. He was baptized as a
member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by Mike Vedder on June 24,
1984. Bob was sealed to his sweet wife Janice in the Los Angeles temple on February
24, 1990. Bob attended and served in the church for over 40 years in various callings.
He was the executive secretary for three bishops and was a ward missionary. He loved
children and while serving as the executive secretary, he knew the names of every
single child in the ward from the time they were born until they married.
Bob is survived by his loving wife Janice; his sons Joseph Dellacioppa, Jeffrey
Dellacioppa, Jason (Faith) Dellacioppa; sister Claudia (Pieter) Pdemonchy, four nieces,
three nephews, six grandchildren and one great grandson.

Papa was one of the most amazing people I have ever met, next to his beautiful wife Janice. We used to have our annual family camping trip and I will never forget how much Bob loved the grandkids and ice cream! God bless and rest in peace. My love to my family!
