Robert Lizotte Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Isabelle & Anderson Funeral Home - Fitchburg on Jan. 27, 2026.
Gardner – Robert "Bob" Lizotte, 85, formerly of Fitchburg, passed away peacefully at UMass Medical Center surrounded by his loving family on January 23, 2026.

Bob was born in Fitchburg on November 6, 1940, a son of the late Joseph and Lea (Chabot) Lizotte. For many years he worked for Pelletier Plastering in Fitchburg before working with his son-in-law at ZVI Construction Company in Boston and various side jobs whenever he was able to help. Bob could later be found working at his daughter's store, Ray's Variety in Fitchburg for several years.

He was a fan of all sports, and was an avid and loyal Red Sox and Patriots fan. Bob found great joy in helping his children and grandchildren renovate their homes over the years. He loved helping with yard work, insisting on family gatherings with home-cooked food, being his grandchildren's biggest fan at sporting events, and playing a good card game with family and friends. Bob loved animals, especially his grand-kitties Mac, Girl, Fennek and Sparky, and his grand-pups Nala, Nike, Max, and Chloe.

Bob is survived by his two daughters, Christine Goguen and husband Francis of Gardner and Karen Butler and husband Maurice of Templeton; son-in-law Kevin Corliss of Gardner; grandchildren, Andrew Corliss and wife Robin, Jonathan Corliss and wife Ashley, Nicole Corliss, Kaitlyn Goguen, Kyle Goguen and wife Brittany, Emily Goguen and Florian Leopaldi; great grandchildren, Madison, Andrew Jr., Christopher, Violet, Nicholas, Connor, and Rylee; a brother Richard Lizotte and his wife Rose Marie of Fitchburg; several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his brother Joseph Lizotte and his sister Blanche Bourque.

Bob's funeral service will be held in the Pieta Chapel at Saint Joseph Cemetery, 486 Clarendon St., Fitchburg on Saturday, February 7 at 11:00am. The Isabelle & Anderson Funeral Home, 316 Clarendon St., Fitchburg is directing arrangements.
