WORCESTER: William T. Vasilios, 80, passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at The Odd Fellows Home, after battling dementia.
Born on June 15, 1945, in Manchester NH. William "Billy" graduated from Manchester Memorial High School and University of New Hampshire with a BA in Physical Education. Billy was the captain of the UNH Varsity Football Team, named All Conference First Team, on the Varsity Track Team, and President of Theta Chi Fraternity.
After graduating from UNH Billy served his country in the Army and fought in Vietnam and received the rank of First Lieutenant. After the Army Billy returned home to Manchester, NH where he went into the real estate industry with his father.
He was predeceased by his father, Thomas Vasilios; his mother, Mary Gregorios Orestis Vasilios; his two brothers, Christos Orestis and Leo Orestis; his two sisters, Effie Forbes, and Baby Bertha Orestis, and his nephew, James Orestis.
William is survived by his one nephew, Thomas Orestis of Safety Harbor FL; and three nieces Cheryl Brunelas of Lowell MA, Nancy Stebbins of Lisbon NH, and Melissa Robertson of Deerfield, NH.
A Military Funeral Service in William's honor will take place in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Hwy, Boscawen, NH 03303 on MONDAY, March 16, 2026, at 1PM in the Chapel. Please join us in honoring William. Arrangements under the care of Callahan, Fay & Caswell Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester.
