Robert Earl Logemann

Logemann, Robert "Skeeter", 85, of Seminole passed away Sunday, July 28th, at Freedom Square while under Hospice care. Born and raised in northern Illinois, Robert moved his family to Clearwater, Florida in 1975 from Buffalo City, Wisconsin and eventually moved to Seminole in 1978. He was a Social Studies teacher in the Pinellas County public school system for many years. He taught at Gibbs High School and Pinellas Park High School before spending the rest of his teaching career at Meadowlawn Middle School. Robert spent many years in the midwest and later in Florida as a fast-pitch softball pitcher and this was a passion of his. Robert was also passionate about coaching both high school football and high school basketball which he did for 20+ years. He was preceded in death by his parents Earl and Thelma Logemann of Nora, Illinois, his younger brother Russell "Corky" Logemann of Lena, Illinois, and his wife Marlene Logemann with whom he shared 55 years of marriage. He was also preceded in death by sister-in-law Judy Miller (Chet) of Fargo, North Dakota. Robert is survived by his son Steve (Jan) and two granddaughters Rachel (Adam Bagley) and Jessica, and also had two great-grandchildren (Liam Bagley & Sara Beth Bagley). Robert was also survived by his sister-in-law Diane Sosnoski who cared for him after the passing of Marlene in 2019 and Marcia Logemann (wife of Russell) of Lena, Illinois. Robert is also survived by nephew Bret Logemann (Darla) and two nieces - Heather England (Brian) and Lori Logemann. He was deeply devoted to his family and attended every sporting event possible of his son and later his granddaughters through the years. There will be a graveside service at the Bay Pines National Cemetery in St. Petersburg on Friday, December 27th at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association - Florida Gulf Coast Chapter 727/578-2558.
