Nancy Mae Aker, 78, of Florida, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2025. She was born on December 7, 1946, in Dowagiac, Michigan, to Robert F. Kovach and Stella Kaufka. Nancy met the love of her life, Robert Alan Aker Sr., in South Bend, Indiana. They married and together built a beautiful life, raising three children - Robert Alan Aker Jr., John F. Aker and Mary B. Andrews, - before eventually settling in Florida. Nancy was a beacon of love, kindness, and generosity to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Her warmth radiated through every hug, every thoughtful gesture, and every moment spent with family. She had a special way of making people feel cherished, always putting others before herself. She is survived by her devoted husband, Robert Alan Aker Sr.; her children Mary B. Andrews, Robert A. Aker Jr., and John Aker; and her beloved grandchildren Meagan Foster, Michael Andrews, Joshua Aker, and Robert A. Aker III. Nancy loved Christmas, a season she made magical with her deep appreciation for family traditions and togetherness. From decorating the tree to baking cookies, she poured her heart into every detail. She worked at Kmart for 42 years, where her dedication and friendly spirit touched the lives of countless colleagues and customers. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family - sharing meals, celebrating milestones, and simply being present. Her legacy is one of love, and she will be deeply missed but forever remembered. Services will be held at Anderson & McQueen Funeral Home, 7820 38th Avenue North, St Petersburg, FL 33710 on November 1, 2025, followed by a celebration of life at 11117 90th Terr, Seminole, FL 33772.
