Robert Loper

Mr. Robert (Bob) Alan Loper, age 71 of Reno Road in Royston, Ga., passed away peacefully on Friday, December 13, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born  in Hatfield Indiana on June 20, 1953 to the late James Loper and Gladys Herren.

He worked as a field service technician for Atlanta Gas Light and also as a carpenter. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family, playing the lottery and treasure hunting. He never met a stranger. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother David Loper, one brother in-law Gary Helfrich and one sister in-law Erin Arnold. 

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 37 years Amy Lewis, his daughters Natalie Hallam of Decatur, Ga. and Shelly Hill (Wesley) of Maysville, Ga., Siblings; Larry Loper (Leah) of Lawrenceville, Donna Helfrich of Indiana, James (Bug) Loper of Indiana, and Starleen Marshall (Scott) of Indiana., four grandchildren, one great grandchild, loved by many nieces and nephews and his devoted lifetime companion (Hotdog).   

A memorial service will be held Thursday December 19, 2024 at 3:00 pm at the chapel of Coile and Hall Funeral Directors. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00pm prior to the service.
