Robert Lovgren Obituary
December 18, 1946 - February 15, 2025
Robert (Bob) Whitney Lovgren was born in St. Louis, Missouri, on December 18, 1946. He passed away
peacefully from Alzheimer's after a long goodbye. A husband, father, and grandfather he found great joy in family, their sports events, school experiences, and careers. He spent his 42-year business career in the investment department at Mutual of Omaha retiring in 2013. Bob loved the outdoors and had many adventures bicycling across Nebraska, hiking trails like Longs Peak and Half Dome, backpacking Yellowstone, Wunderland Trail, and Mont Blanc. Bob is survived by his spouse, Linda Hoeppner Lovgren; son, Dr. Todd Lovgren, and Drue Lovgren; daughter, Laura (Lovgren) Paul, and Scott Paul; grandchildren, Tyson Lovgren, Cole Lovgren, Barrett Lovgren, Keagan Lovgren, Kathryn Paul, Alex Paul; brother, John Lovgren, and Nancy Lovgren; sister, Linda (Lovgren) Gallagher; sister-in-law, Emily Silber (Chuck); brother-in-law, Burdette C. Hoeppner; nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is predeceased by parents, Dr. Robert E. Lovgren and Dorothy Lovgren; granddaughter, Tatum Lovgren; brother-in-law, Carl Gallagher; and nephew, Michael Gallagher.
VISITATION: Sunday, February 23, 2025, from 3 to 5 p.m., at John A. Gentleman, 14151 Pacific Street. SERVICES: Monday, February 24, 2025, at 10 a.m., at Countryside Community Church, 13130 Faith Plz, A family internment will follow. In lieu of flowers, Bob requested Memorials to West Omaha Rotary Foundation: 4089 S 84th St., PBM 317, Omaha, NE 68127 or Countryside Community Church: 13130 Faith Plaza, Omaha, NE 68144.

Dear Linda
I am so sorry about Bob. I remember happy times when we were young and all going to parties together. You always seemed so devoted. I'm sorry to read about his Alzheimer's. I'm accompanying a friend suffering from it and learning how devastating it is. I hope your happy memories sustain you.
