Robert Lowry

Funeral services for Robert Lowry, 95, will be held at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, October 30, 2025 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in West Monroe. Pastors Daniel Goodman and Todd Gregory will be officiating. Interment will follow at Start Cemetery, under the care and direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes, West Monroe. A visitation for family and friends will be held at 11:00 A.M. until the time of service, Thursday at Kilpatrick Funeral Home.
Robert passed away on October 27, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones. He was a Christian man who loved the Lord and was a devoted member of Maranatha Baptist Church, where his faith and fellowship touched many lives. He retired from the State of Louisiana and was a security officer at Francis Towers, dedicating 17 years of loyal service. His life was a testament to service, faith, and quiet strength. Robert's favorite verse of the Bible is "You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit-fruit that will last-and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you." John 15:16.
Robert was preceded in death by wives, Vertie Lowry and Kay Ann Lowry; parents, Stancil and Ophelia Lowry; 5 brothers, 2 sisters; other cherished family and friends.
Robert is survived by his wife, Betty Long Lowry; daughters, Cindy Turnbow and husband Bill, Judy Vercher and husband Arthur; sister, Ruby Hillis; host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Cindy Elee and husband Larry; step-children, Clyde Jolly and Jennifer Cole; along with other extended family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Josh Dupree, Chris Snell, Kerry Elee, Matt Teaster, Dow Young and Lamar Hillis. Honorary pallbearer will be Garrett Mudge.
