Robert Lee "Bob" Luttrell Sr.

Robert Lee "Bob" Luttrell, Sr., 71, of Goodland, IN passed away Thursday, Nov. 16, 2023 at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette, IN. He was born in Rensselaer, IN on May 26, 1952, son of the late Elbert T. Luttrell and Winifred F. (Smith) Luttrell. On July 9, 1971, in Rensselaer, he married Theresa D. Williamson. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1972-1974.
Bob and Theresa lived in Dunnville, KY for about 35 years. He worked at Tater Gate Company in Dunnville for over 20 years. He also worked at Cooper Tires in Rensselaer for several years.
Bob loved dirt track racing. He raced as #71 and #1A for Tater & Luttrell Racing. He also loved to fish, play guitar and sing.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Theresa Luttrell; four children: Dawn Luttrell Miller (David Burnette) of Louisville, KY, Robert (Sara) Luttrell of Russell Springs, KY, Rusty Luttrell of Rensselaer, IN and Izabella Luttrell of Goodland, IN; ten grandchildren: Aaron (Brittany) Terry of Somerset, KY, Lucas Luttrell of Rensselaer, IN, Ryan Mondie of Liberty, KY, Skylar (Mekinze) Luttrell of Russell Springs, KY, Spencer Luttrell of Russell Springs, KY, Jalen Luttrell of Columbia, KY, Thomas Luttrell of Gravel Switch, KY, Trace Luttrell of Rensselaer, IN, Elijah Luttrell of Russell Springs, KY and Ryder Luttrell of Russell Springs, KY; and four great-grandchildren. Eight siblings also survive: Betty (Rodney) Glenn of IL, Donnie Wendall of Washington; Cubie Williamson of Lafayette, IN, Tom (Cindy) Luttrell of Mt. Ayr, IN, Jerry (Devona) Luttrell of Rensselaer, IN, Judy (Ron) Cox of Remington, IN, Margaret (Dave) Anton of Remington, IN and Jo (John) Peeken of Goodland, IN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elbert and Winifred; infant brother Elbert; and one sister, Alice Crosby.
The family is holding a Celebration of Life service for Bob on Saturday, Nov. 18, 2023 at 4 p.m. (CST) at the Goodland Community Center, 110 N. Benton St., Goodland, IN 47948.
