Robert MacAllister Sr.

Robert MacAllister, Sr., 92, longtime Groveland resident and native of Malden, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 2, surrounded by his family.

He was the devoted husband of Pauline (Pelczar) MacAllister, with whom he shared 53 years of marriage. Born to the late Samuel and Armanella (Roberts) MacAllister on August 25, 1932, Robert built a life rooted in family, hard work, and simple pleasures.

He was a proud father to Robert, Jr. and his wife Tamara (Prociw) of Bradford, MA; Brian and his wife Lisa (Sullivan) of Barrington, NH; and Karen (MacAllister) Lapanne and her husband Dan of Kingston, NH. He found great joy in his role as "Grampa" to Kaitlin and Abigail MacAllister, Jason, Adam, and Noah Lapanne and Olivia MacAllister.

Robert had a deep appreciation for time spent with family, especially his grandchildren. Whether he was playing horseshoes, bowling, casting a line, or just telling stories of his boating adventures from younger days, he brought a steady warmth and sense of humor to every gathering. A natural outdoorsman, he took great pride in his gardens and could often be found happily tending to his yard.

Family vacations particularly to Maine and South Carolina were among his favorite traditions, creating memories that will last generations.

Robert will be remembered for his quiet strength, his love for life's simple pleasures, and his unwavering devotion to those he loved.

Visitation will take place on Friday, August 8 in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 S. Main Street, Haverhill from 9:00 to 11:00 AM. Services will begin at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Groveland. For guestbook, visit www.driscollcares.com
