MacDonald, Robert J. “Bobby” of Quincy, passed away unexpectedly August 1, 2025.
Bobby cherished his family, especially his children and granddaughter. He was an avid Boston sports fan and enjoyed watching Patriots, Red Sox, Celtics, and Bruins games. He worked as a carpenter for Blue Cross Blue Shield for 30 years. He was a proud and active member of AA for 7 years. Bobby was a loving father and friend who was known for his humor, story telling, and always helping those in need. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Son of the late Malcolm and Mary (Farrell) MacDonald. Devoted father of Shannon MacDonald of Abington and Robert K. MacDonald of Weymouth. Loving Papa of Isabella Rose. Former spouse and good friend of Jean MacDonald. Survived by one living brother and predeceased by his brothers Kenny and David MacDonald. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Friday 8/8/2025 from 3-7 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY followed by a funeral home service at 7 PM. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Bobby can be made to https://herrenproject.org.
