Robert Francis Madden Jr.

Robert Francis Madden, Jr. (Bobby), 54, passed away in Melbourne, Florida on November 26, 2025. Bobby was born in Kearny, New Jersey and moved to South Florida with his family in 1979. He graduated from Spanish River High School in Boca Raton, Florida in 1989.

Bobby began his career in pool maintenance servicing a route of customers in the cleaning and general repair of their pools. He was very adept at working with his hands and figuring out the best solution for a perfect pool. As his talents grew in the industry, he founded his own company, Gallant Waters by Bob, with the company initials of GWB in honor of his favorite president, George W. Bush.

Bobby spent much of his time enjoying life outdoors. As a child he was very active in sports, displaying great speed in days running a football down the field. From a very young age Bobby was passionate about fishing. He was an avid fisherman, taking every opportunity to teach others about his love of the sport and compassionate release of the fish he caught. His bond with his niece began with fishing rod in hand and Sarah will carry his fishing legacy for the rest of her life. In return, Sarah shared her love of Disney with Bobby with many happy memories of trips to the parks.

Bobby's compassion for living things didn't end with fish, he was a life-long animal lover with a collection of black cats that spanned his entire adulthood. They were very important to him and lived long and happy lives under his care. There will be many animals waiting for Bobby at the Rainbow Bridge.

He was much loved as a son, a brother, an uncle, a nephew, a cousin, and a grandson. Bobby was fiercely loyal to all he loved and will be deeply missed by all who love him.

He is survived by his mother, Bonita Madden, siblings Lesa Stage (Steve), and Jason Madden, as well as three nieces (Sarah, Emma and Abigail). He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Madden, Sr., and brother Daniel Madden.

A Celebration of Life mass will be held at St. John the Evangelist Church in Viera, Florida on January 09, 2026 at 11:00 am. Gathering to follow after the mass.
