Of Binghamton

Suzanne M. "Sue" Madden, 61 of Binghamton died Sun Jan. 25, 2026 at Mercy House. She is survived by her husband, Gerald, her 3 children, Kevin, Nicole & Ryan, her mother, Patricia Gaughran, siblings, Kelley Callery, Michael (Terri) Gaughran, Robert (Karina) Gaughran, Daniel (Loralyn) Gaughran, Matthew (Nicole) Gaughran, Casey (Diana) Gaughran, and also her brothers and sisters-in-law, several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and all her Duane Ave. neighbors.

She was predeceased by her son, Zachary, father, Kenneth C. Gaughran, siblings, Cindy Gaughran, Timothy Gaughran, and Kimberly Graham.

She was a member of St. Patrick's Church, was an employee of Binghamton City School District at Thomas Jefferson School. She supported the many Binghamton Fire Dept. Benevolent functions especially the Saint Patrick's Day Parade. She was known for her homemade crafts, attending many craft fairs and gifting them to her family and friends.

A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Patrick's Church 9 Leroy St. Binghamton on Mon. at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the Barber Memorial Home 428 Main St Johnson City on Sun. from 2 to 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Sue may be made to Mercy House 212 N. McKinley Ave. Endicott, NY 13760.

The family is forever grateful for the care and support given to Sue over all these years, including Broome Oncology at Lourdes and UHS, "Dr. Y", Wilson Main Tower 5, Mercy House and her family at Thomas Jefferson.
