I used to visit Pete's (Herb) Farm early 2000s and have missed it. Having wanted to revisit over the years, a recent search led me to find it is under a different owner and to find Mr. Madsen's obituary. While I did not know him, I found great joy in traveling from Savannah to the farm many weekends to explore all the varieties of herbs/plants that were there, and buy scented geraniums. May his family and friends know he helped make a difference in at least one stranger's life. In peace, I say thank you.

Sue, saw your Dad's notice in the paper and didn't know how to reach you, but hope you are still checking these pages to get this. It's hard losing anyone, much less a parent. My husband passed July of this year and I am still trying to believe it. Hope the healing will come quickly to you and your family.

Sail on Grandpa Skip. Thank you for sharing so many of your experiences, so much of your knowledge with this grateful Yankee. No matter our occasional differences, my love and respect for you will last forever. Now you can finally rest.
Deepest sympathies to the family.

We celebrate this great man and kindred spirit, and will always have fond memories of sailing in Church Creek and the surrounding rivers around Johns Island. Rest in Peace "Mr. Bobby"!
