Robert Manthay Obituary
Robert was born in Meriden, Connecticut, on July 23, 1940, to the late Theodore and Florence (Schee) Manthay.
Bob proudly served his country in the United States Army, an experience he held with quiet pride throughout his life.
A man deeply connected to the land and the natural world, Robert had a lifelong love of gardening. He maintained a large and flourishing garden and took great joy in sharing the fruits of his labor with neighbors and friends.
He also delighted in the wildlife that surrounded his home, often capturing and sharing video clips of turkeys, deer, and even black bears visiting the backyard paradise that Bob and Linda lovingly built together during their 27 years of marriage.
Robert is survived by his step-son, David Yoder; his daughters, Deb Martin and Donna Rackie; and their families.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Zion Lutheran Church in Wallingford. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.

I´m so sorry to hear of Bobs passing. He was so friendly and happy person. We had many conversations after church service about gardening and wild life and Linda about knitting and her doll collection. Both will be missed.
