John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc. - ErieRobert P. Maracci of Millcreek, age 89, passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, in Orlando, FL. He was born in Erie on June 19, 1936, a son of the late Pilade and Julia (Cargioli) Maracci.
Robert was a graduate of McDowell High School, Class of 1954, and attended Gannon University. He was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. Robert served in the US Army from June 1955 to June 1958 in Korea. He worked for the US Postal Service for 33 years and retired as Letter Carrier in October 1992. Robert enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and working in his yard.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 57 years Mary Louise (Mizikowski) Maracci; two sisters, Olga Pivetta and Norma Maracci; sisters-in-law Marlene Mizikowski and Bernadine Zdunski; brothers-in-law Victor Pivetta and Edwin Mizikowski.
Robert is survived by his daughter Lisa Rawa, husband Randy Rawa, MD, of Orlando, FL and his son David Maracci, wife Sandy Maracci of Erie, PA; his two grandsons, who brought him his greatest joy, and called him Papa, Braeden Rawa and Aaron Maracci; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 2401 West 38th Street, Erie, PA 16506 on Saturday, March 7, at 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:30 am. Inurnment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the John Orlando Funeral Home, 2122 Raspberry Street, Erie, PA 16502. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Going Home Greyhounds on their website www.goinghomegreyhounds.org.
