Robert Massey Obituary
Robert Leon Massey was born on January 11, 1942 in Counce, Tennessee, the son of the late Howard Leon and Ruby Arradie Worley Massey.
On September 14, 1968, he was united in marriage to Betty Teasley, who preceded her husband in death on February 20, 2020.
Mr. Massey honorably served his country in the United States Army from 1960 - 1968, completing 2 tours to Vietnam. He later worked as a telephone technician for Southern Bell and as the owner and operator for GMS Telephone Services in Atlanta, Georgia. Robert was an avid woodworker and specialized custom kitchen cabinets and wooden plaque engraving. He also enjoyed going fishing.
Robert Leon Massey departed this life on September 23, 2024 in McDonough, Georgia, at the age of 82 years, 8 months, and 12 days.
He is survived by his sons, John T. Massey and his wife Marcia of McDonough, Georgia and Michael A. Massey and his wife Veronica of Milner, Georgia; brother, Jimmy Massey and his wife Alana of Dutton, Alabama; and grandchildren, Dustin, Vallery, Michael, Brady, and Ethan.
In addition to his parents and wife, Robert was preceded in death by his sister, Jean Millender.
