Robert J. Mazurkiewicz

Robert J Mazurkiewicz, born June 9, 1953 in Chicago, IL and passed away at home in Downers Grove, IL on March 1, 2024. Robert is the beloved husband of Robin (nee Gloss). Loving father of Christopher (Ashley) Mazurkiewicz and Michael Mazurkiewicz. Cherished grandpa of Charlotte and Aidan. Dearest son of the late Eugene and the Late Connee Mazurkiewicz. Dear brother of Maryann (Pete) Balskus, Linda (Dwight) Marquardt, the late John Mazurkiewicz, and the late Joseph Mazurkiewicz. Wonderful uncle, cousin and friend to many.
Robert always cherished time; his resounding response being 'all I want is time'. And more specifically, time doing anything, anywhere, as long as he was with those that he loved the most. Time spent in the middle of nowhere on his motorcycle. Time scuba diving while exploring the depths of the oceans. Time taking pride of putting in an honest day's work. Time outside, kayaking at his family's cottage. Time making sure he was the first in line at a Bears tailgate or to get the free giveaways at a Sox game. His outlook made him value his time and use it to live his life to the fullest.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, April 5, 2024 from 3-8pm at Petkus Funeral Home, 12401 S Archer Avenue, Lemont, IL.
Family and Friends will be asked to share eulogies, memories and stories of Bob at 6pm
