Dr. Robert Francis Mazzuca of Shamong, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on September 28, 2025. He was 78 years old. A devoted husband, father, physician and community leader, Robert was born July 31, 1947 in Philadelphia to Caroline (Petro) and Frank Mazzuca. Robert dedicated his life to caring for others. He established and faithfully ran his own medical practice for over 40 years. His patients knew him not only as their doctor, but also as a friend who truly listened, cared, and treated them like family. His compassion and commitment to healing left a lasting impact on countless lives. Beyond his practice, Dr. Mazzuca was deeply active in the Waterford Township Community. He served as the Medical Director for Archway School and supported the local police and fire departments as well as sponsoring many youth sports teams over the years. He was president of the Camden County Physicians Association and a proud member of the United States Marine Corps. Robert is survived by his wife of 56 years, Regina Mazzuca (nee Natanni), his daughers Gina Mazzuca (Matt), Elena Warker (Steve), and Krista Scarpitti (John). He was PopPop to Brayden, Olivia, Carson, Tessa, Julianna, Adelyn, Madison, Gio, Dylan, and Brandon. Brother to Dr. Douglas Mazzuca (Andrea), he will be missed by many nieces and nephews, loving cousins, friends, patients and colleagues. Robert will be remembered by his kind spirit, his service to the community, and his dedication to his family and patients. His deep love of people, politics and oldies music will leave an impression on the hearts of those who loved him. The viewing for Dr. Mazzuca will be held on Thursday, October 2nd at Givnish of Marlton, 398 E. Main Street 6-8pm. The celebration of his life will continue Friday, October 3rd at St. Mary of the Lakes Church in Medford, with a visiting hour from 10-11am. His funeral mass will follow at 11:30am.
