Robert McCammon Obituary
Robert Eugene "Gene" McCammon, age 77, of Big Sandy, TN passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2023 at Camden General Hospital. Mr. McCammon was born on November 20, 1945 in Pharr, TX to the late Charles McCammon and the late Caleen Schmidt McCammon. He was also preceded in death by a brother Larry McCammon. Mr. McCammon was a member of The Sandbaggin Golf Club and a Vietnam Veteran of the US Army. He was a retired member of the Construction Union of Kansas City Building and Trade and State of TN as a Correctional Officer at Turney Center. Mr. McCammon also worked at Custodis Construction building smokestacks for over 23 years.

Sons: Richard (Latisha) Beecham of Camden, TN
Chad (Stephanie) McCammon of Holton, KS
Daughter: Diane (Ron) Shelton of Amoret, MO
Brother: Pete McCammon of Georgia
Sisters: Martha Grimsley of Adrian, MO
Linda McCammon of Passaic, MO
Effie Long of Olathe, KS
Ten Grandchildren
Four Great Grandchildren
Two Special Furr Babies: Mixie and Bella
Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday, June7, 2023 from 5:00-8:00 pm and again on Thursday, June 8, 2023 from 10:00-11:00 am at Oakdale Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at 11 AM at Oakdale Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Dusty Stout officiating. Burial will follow in Flatwoods Methodist Cemetery.
