Robert Anthony McClerkin, age 53, transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life on Friday, June 27, 2025.
Robert Anthony McClerkin, affectionately known as "Big A" or "Skeet" by many, was born on August 14, 1971, in Huntingdon, Tennessee, to the late Anna Jean McClerkin. He was the second born out of four children and the protector of all. Anthony was called home to rest in peace on Friday, June 27, 2025, at Vanderbilt Hospital, surrounded by his loving family and friends.
Anthony was educated in the Carroll County school system, where he developed a love for football and became known as a talented athlete. His passion for the game remained with him throughout his life, especially during football season when he proudly cheered on his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys. HOW ABOUT THEM COWBOYS! Known for his infectious humor and bold personality, Anthony was a natural jokester who brought laughter to any room he entered. He truly loved his time with family, especially his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Phillip, Courtney, and LaRay McClerkin.
Anthony leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife of 20 years, Malorie Kinzer-McClerkin; his children: son, Dedtric McClerkin; daughters, Va'Qaya and Dedyra McClerkin of Nashville, and Kayla Moats of Knoxville; grandchildren, Tristan, Kendyll, and Kyrah McClerkin of Nashville, Neyland Moats of Knoxville: nieces, Shanterian Strayhorn and Harper Kinzer; nephew, Quinton McClerkin; mother-in-law, Vanessa Coleman; father-in-law, James Kinzer; sisters-in-law, Lisa (Bobby) Scales and Brandi Kinzer; and devoted friends, Carlos Turner and Carmelia Pearson. In addition to his immediate family, Anthony leaves behind a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and great friends who will forever remember his larger-than-life spirit and kind heart.
