McCLURE, Robert L. Beloved husband of the late Jeannette C. McClure for 45 years. Loving father of Dr. Robert T. (Joanie) McClure. Devoted grandfather of Holly M. And Olivia A. McClure. Dear brother of the late Jo Ann and Harry McClure. Also survived by his nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at 88 years of age. Visitation at St. Joseph Church in North Bend, 25 E. Harrison Ave., on FRIDAY from 9:00 AM until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. Bob was an Eagle Scout and served in the US Air Force as a Tailgunner. He retired from the city of Cincinnati in 1994 working as an electrician at Riverfront Stadium and became Stadium Supervisor. He knew most of the players from the Big Red Machine closely, including Pete Rose who he would ride to the clubhouse on his motorcycle. Bob and Rob started attending Xavier basketball games in 1983 and shared many great moments over the next 40 years including Big East and 2 Elite Eight tournament games. He went to his last Xavier game with his granddaughter Holly on New Year’s Eve in 2024. Bob was most proud of his family, including his granddaughters, Holly and Olivia, and his wonderful daughter-in-law Joanie who helped him in so many ways in the last few years of his life.
