Robert "Mac" Arthur McCuen, Sr., 83, of Knox, Indiana was born to Eternal Life on Thursday, March 6, 2025 surrounded by his family.

Robert was born on January 1, 1942, to Clarence Arthur and Beuliah Ernestine (Galloway) McCuen in Murphysboro, Illinois.

On May 28, 1966, in Cairo, IL, he married Elizabeth Ann Casper. They were married for 52 years before she passed away. Also, preceding Mac in death are his parents and sister, Janet Alms.

Mac was the proud father of Robert (Tricia) McCuen, Jr. of Franklin, Wisconsin and Diana (nee McCuen) Hutchinson of Indianapolis; cherished grandfather to Diana's girls: Alyssa Miles, Kalista Hutchinson, Savannah Hutchinson, and Cierra (Cierra Belle) Hutchinson and Robert's children: Merissa McCuen, Andrew McCuen, Morgan Nelson, and Terrah McCuen; great-grandfather to Zoey, Zayne, Vada and Kai; and brother to his loving sisters: Joyce Heininger, Marjorie McFadden, Shirley Miles, Delores McCuen, and Donna Herring.

Mac worked as a painter for many years. He enjoyed working in the yard, playing with Kathy's dog, Homer, listening to good ole country music, and working in the shed. Mac will be missed by many.

A private Celebration of Life will take place in Southern Illinois at a later date.
