Robert always had patience with everybody when he was teaching. Sometime even with those who thought he was a bit cantankerous. He will surely be miss as the days go by.

My dad was my first love, my hero above all,my teacher my shaman, the best hugger and my favorite person to giggle with. He gave me guidance but let me fall so I could learn to get up.our heart to hearts were many and every one treasured we both knew were blessings God gave us each other. His voice my life line through out my life and to have it silenced brings great pain. Dad was passionate for farming and being part of the land, mother earth, but I believe his greatest seed he ever planted was his unconditional love in my heart, life and soul. His blood runs through me and now as always it has been I'm forever proud to be his daughter . God picked him for me to call daddy and for that I'm forever blessed. Thank you all for your word of love and comfort, I'm truly so glad you knew the man I called dad and we all called friend. Peace. Trisha McGranahan.
The best friend one could ever find.

A wise man once said to me, never leave Kansas because you heart and soul will always be here. I thanked my brother Robert for his wisdom and probably should have listened to him. He is surely missed.

We have to take the time to enjoy our family even in troubling times. Had a great time with Robert the last time I saw him.
I may be slow but I'm ahead of you. See you on the other side.

Robert never complained about his pain, but rather chose to go about with his daily chores with the help of Mother Nature and the Lord.
Happy Trails to Robert

A Prayer from Robert Dean Mcgranahan
A Farmer's Prayer
Lord, I am grateful that I am a farmer. I am glad to live close to the earth that You have made.
I am happy to spend so much of my time in the open air, under the bright sun,
The symbol of Your own justice and light.
I am grateful for the rain and for the freshness that it brings
---the rain, a symbol of Your rich and undying blessings.
I am happy to cooperate with You in Your work of continuous creation,
By growing the food that men need to sustain life.
By Your almighty power, You make grow seeds I plant.
You fill the earth with minerals,
You send the rain and the sun, the wind and the snow
--- And the dry, hard seeds I plant are raised to soft, green life.
You have given men great wisdom and cleverness to build machines
Those make the labor of the farmer much less burdensome.
Dear Lord, I am in Your almighty hands. I depend upon You for everything.
If I sow the seed and cultivate the young plants, and You do not see fit to give me a good harvest,
I will be satisfied.
You are the Lord and master and creator of all things.
You know what is good for me and what would do me harm.
I trust You, absolutely, and without question.
I thank You again for calling me to a farmer's life.
I beg of You never to let me forget its great advantages of closeness to You,
Absolute trust and confidence in You, and the fullness of richness of my life,
close to the earth that You have so marvelously blessed.
Lord, I am grateful that I am a farmer.
Amen
Are you ready to come work the farm with Robert?
