Robert McGuire Obituary
Funeral Services for Robert (Bob) Carlton McGuire, age 86 of Milan, will be held on Monday, February 2, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Bodkin Funeral Home with burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 9:30 to 11:00 AM.
Bob was born on May 25, 1939, in Erie, Pennsylvania, to Robert E. Lee McGuire and Eleanor Okel McGuire. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who cherished time with his family.
He is survived by his son, Bobby McGuire (Paula) of Southaven, Mississippi; his daughter, Kathy Schneider (Jeff) of Henderson, Tennessee; three grandchildren, Megan Green (Bryan) of Hernando, Mississippi, Rob Minyard of Oakland, Tennessee, and Allison Gordon (TJ) of Southaven, Mississippi; and four great-grandchildren, Mason Green, Harper Minyard, Colson Gordon, and Olivia Gordon.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Pat McGuire; his parents, Robert and Eleanor McGuire; and his step-grandson, Jon Adam Carroll.
Bob retired as a chemical engineer from Foamex in Milan, after beginning his career with Corry Foam in Corry, Pennsylvania. He was an avid Corvette enthusiast and greatly enjoyed fishing on Lake Erie.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
