I just found out about the passing away of Bob, his departure left me sad for not having seen him in over 30 years. I used to play weekly tennis games with him when he was the tennis coach for a high school in Lubbock, Texas. I also played with him doubles in a couple of tournaments back then. I have the best memories of Bob, including losing to him in the finals of an Amarillo tennis tournament. Then we lost touch as eventually both of us moved away to other places. I saw him one last time when he came to play a national 40's tournament in Atlanta. Thereafter I heard he moved to New York to teach tennis of all places. I have the best memories of Bob and his ironic sense of humor. He was fair, tough, funny and friendly to everybody. Good bless him and his family.
