Robert Earl Miller

Robert "Bob" Earl Miller, 62, of Independence, MO, died at his home on February 6, 2026, surrounded by his family. Bob was born May 10, 1963, to Charles and Martha (Kilgore) Miller, in Kansas City, MO. After graduating from William Christman High School in 1981, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, where he attained the rank of corporal. He married Danita Jenkins in 1983 and had four daughters. Bob loved his family, fishing, fixing lawnmowers, yard work, ghost stories, telling tall tales, and especially his dog Kalypso.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his father and mother-in-law Ron and Laura Jenkins, his sister and brother-in-law Alice and Ray Wake, his brother Larry Miller, and his dog Rocky, his only son.

He is survived by his children Kimberly, Kara (Shawn), Kristen (Alexis), and Kelly (Jessey), along with his granddaughters Violet, Penelope, and Naomi; his wife, Danita; and many other beloved family members.

A private service will be held for the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a memorial be made on Bob's behalf to the National MS Society and Blood Cancer United.
