Robert Jerome Miller, Sr., a respected member of his community and a devoted family man, passed away on March 6, 2025, in Davie, Florida. He was born on February 11, 1936, in Columbus, Indiana, to Murray and Mary Miller. His passing leaves a profound void in the lives of those who knew and loved him.
Robert, known for his dedication and leadership, served honorably in the United States Air Force, rising to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. His service as a Pilot during the Vietnam War exemplified his commitment to his country and showcased his exceptional skill and bravery.
Education was an important aspect of Robert's life. He earned a Master’s Degree in Business from Fresno State, located in Fresno, California. This achievement laid the foundation for his professional pursuits and reflected his determination to excel.
Family was at the center of Robert's life, and he found immense joy in spending time with them, including his two beloved dogs. He cherished moments of laughter and adventure, whether that involved water skiing or snow skiing with loved ones. A true connoisseur of simple pleasures, he was known for his sweet tooth, particularly for vanilla ice cream and peanut butter Reece's Cups.
Robert is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth Anne Miller, and five devoted children: Robert J. Miller, Jr., Lee Anne Price, Daniel M. Miller, Sr., Christopher W. Miller II, and Mary Leslie Miller. He also leaves behind his sister, Terry Anne Jones.
Robert Miller's legacy extends beyond his professional endeavors; it is woven into the fabric of his family and the lives he touched. He joins in rest those who preceded him, including his brother Steven Miller, his sons Christopher Walter Miller and John Wallace Miller, and his parents, Murray W. Miller and Mary Ackenback.
A Visitation will be held on March 13, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a Funeral Service at 3:00 PM, both at T. M. Ralph Plantation Funeral Home, located at 7001 NW 4th St, Plantation, Florida, 33317.
Robert Jerome Miller, Sr. will be remembered for his unwavering dedication, his adventurous spirit, and the love he spread to those fortunate enough to know him.
