Robert L More Jr, (Bud) 82, of Franklin Virginia passed away peacefully on October 23, 2025 into the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Bud was predeceased by his parents Robert & Blanche More. He is survived by his wife Mary More, his daughter Kathleen Beckwith (Dave), grandson Robert Black, Sisters, Rebecca (Bill) Rich, Marilyn (Peter) Kempe, brother Curtis (Robyn) More, Step daughters Laura Graves (Ron) & Maria de la Cruz. His grandchildren: Megan (Ryan) Sarr, Richie (Abigail) Graves, Sophia, four great-grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. His caregivers, Elizabeth “Liz” Ricks, Regina Hill, Brenda “Bre” Jordan, Genesis Mack and Marcie Smith.
Bud lived most of his life in Greene, NY, and later retired to Henrico, NC. He worked as an electrician for IBEW for 42 years, and a volunteer fireman for the Roanoke Wildwood Fire Department after he retired. He was awarded fireman of the year in 2013 and 2016 and placed in the Hall of Fame.
He really enjoyed working and helping friends and family. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed telling stories that made people smile. He loved being outdoors, riding motorcycles, boating, fishing, and deer hunting with family. Most of all he loved his family. In lieu of flowers Memorial contributions can be made to Roanoke Wildwood Fire Department 790 Lizard Creek Road, Littleton, NC 27850
