Adam Thurston Moore, 22, of Smithfield, Virginia, passed away unexpectedly on October 17th, 2025, just two days before his 23rd birthday.
Born in Suffolk, Virginia, on October 19,2002, Adam was raised in Smithfield where he touched the hearts of everyone who knew him. He is the son of Jennifer Dodd and Randy Moore.
Adam is preceded in death by his grandfather, Eugene Moore, his uncle, Mike Moore and his beloved dogs, Skeety and Paco.
He is survived by his loving sisters’, Haley Rivera (Juni) and Faith Shaffer (Derek); a niece, Marley and Nephew, Bodie; his grandparents, Brenda and Jim Swann, George and Paula Dodd and Ann Moore. Adam also leaves behind many others including aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Adam is a tender-hearted soul with a deep compassion for people and animals alike. He had an artist’s spirit - creative, thoughtful, and kind - and he found peace and expression through music, which he loved in all its forms. His humor, caring nature, and empathy for others made him someone who could brighten even the darkest day. Adam’s gentle presence and boundless kindness will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
A service celebrating Adam’s life will be held at Little’s Funeral Home, 1515 South Church Street, Smithfield. Virginia, on Saturday, November 1st, 2025, at 3pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations to Isle of Wight Animal Services.
