With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Robert Edward Morgan, a compassionate, smart, and talented individual who left an indelible mark on all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Born on September 19, 1963, in Gardner, MA, and known to all as Reggie, he was a beacon of light and wisdom to his community. Robert's life was a testament to the words of Albert Einstein, who said, "Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile." Robert was also Organ Donar.
Robert's thoughtful nature and penchant for service were evident in his storied career and his commitment to his community. He was a graduate of Gardner High School, attended Cushing Academy, and earned his BA Degree in Accounting from Assumption College. Robert was an accomplished CPA, having worked at KMG public accounting and Parker accounting firm before establishing his own practice. Beyond his professional success, Robert had a profound love for sports, evidenced by his time as captain of the Varsity Football and Baseball teams. He was a formidable player and a respected leader, earning citations such as the Wachusett League All-Star Football 1980 Defensive Linebacker and the Best Defensive Player Award in 1980 and 1981. He was voted into the Gardner High School Athletic Hall of Fame. His pursuit of excellence extended into his academic achievements, as he ranked 4th in a class of 110 students at Cushing Academy.
Despite his professional and athletic accomplishments, what mattered most to Robert was his family, friends, and community. He was an active participant in the Annual Miller Light Open golf tournament with the class of 1981, a tradition they upheld for over 40 years. Robert also dedicated his time and expertise to the Gardner Pop A Warner, the Greenwood Memorial Friends and Family, and the Chamber of Commerce as their former treasurer. His life was a reflection of the words by Ralph Waldo Emerson, "The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well."
Robert is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Morgan, his sisters Kathy Graves and Jane Morgan, and his brothers, Earl Morgan and Billy Morgan and his wife Betty. He is predeceased by his parents, Robert and Helen Morgan, and his brother Mike Morgan.
Robert's legacy will continue to inspire and guide us. His life reminds us of the power of resilience, the value of community, and the enduring strength of love. We invite you to share your cherished memories of Robert and upload photos to the memorial page at www.mackfamilyfh.com.
