Robert "Bob" Morton

1941 - 2023

Morton, Robert "Bob", - 81, of Somers Point, passed away on March 30, 2023 in Galloway, NJ. A viewing will be held at George H Wimberg Funeral Home, 1707 New Road, Linwood on Tuesday, April 4th from 12:00 noon to 1:00PM. A Memorial service will follow at 1:00PM. Bob was born in Atlantic City, NJ to Grace and Robert "Foster" Morton on May 27, 1941. He went to Atlantic City High School and graduated in 1959 where he was a varsity athlete and excelled in both baseball and football. He went on to study at Oberlin College in Ohio. He most recently worked for Mainland Regional High School as a bus driver. He previously worked at Academy Bus Charter. He worked as an accountant for Waste Management, Bindley Western, Liberty Waste and Chambers. He also owned the Somers Point Dairy Queen in the 1970's. Bob enjoyed traveling (especially to visit family), fishing (whether by boat or by surf-casting off the jetties of Ocean City or Atlantic City), golfing, playing miniature golf with his grandchildren, loved crossword and number puzzles, loved to laugh and was loved by all who knew him. Bob is survived by: his son Christian of Egg Harbor City, his daughter Tracey Feder of Studio City, CA and his son Bob (Laurie) of Novi, MI; his 5 grandchildren: Andrew, Alex, Cara, Austin and Lauren, and his great great-granddaughter Olivia.
