Robert E. Moses, passed away peacefully at home on October 11th, 2025 at 92 years of age. Robert grew up on the East Side of Chicago. After graduating high school from Chicago Vocational High School he enlisted in the Navy during the Korean War. After being discharged from the Navy in 1955 he went to college where he earned a teaching degree. Bob met and married his wife Maureen (nee Mellor) in 1959 and they were married for 52 years. He taught at High School District 218 for 30 years finishing up at Eisenhower High School in Blue Island. Serving others was always important to Bob. After he retired from teaching he became a member of the Windy City Veterans Association and spent time supporting the needs of veterans at the Manteno Veterans Home. He is survived by his sons Martin (Nancy) and John, his grandchildren Matthew Moses and Emily (Naber), and great grandchildren Conor and Liam Naber. Bob was proceeded in death by his wife Maureen who passed in 2011, his mother Marie and his brother William. Visitation Wednesday October 15th 3 – 8 PM at the Hickey Memorial Chapel 4201 147th St. Midlothian, Illinois. Service will be held at Hickey Memorial Chapel on Thursday October 16th at 11:30 AM, interment will follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Blue Cap 2155 Broadway St. Blue Island, Il 60406.
