In Loving Memory of Robert Allen Moulton
November 15, 1966 – October 5, 2025

Robert Allen Moulton, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away suddenly on the morning of October 5th, 2025. He was 58 years old.

To some he was Robert, to others Rob or Robbie, but to everyone who knew him he was a kind and genuine soul.

Born on November 15th, 1966, in Bakersfield, California, to Arthur Lee and Karen Lee Moulton, Rob was the fourth child and one of three surviving siblings, having lost his elder sister, Ruthanne, before his birth. He grew up in a close-knit family alongside siblings Rhonda and Arthur (Butch) and many cousins, sharing an adventurous childhood filled with laughter, mischief, and memories that shaped his spirited nature.

Robert had a passion for punk rock, extreme sports, and especially skateboarding. He had a lifelong passion for motorcycles and cars. Rob loved the roar of an engine, the feel of the open road, and the satisfaction of bringing something mechanical back to life. The man could fix anything, if it had wheels, wires, or moving parts, Rob could make it run better than new. His hands were always busy, his mind always figuring out how to make something work. His energy and drive carried into every part of his life. Though he left high school early, he later returned to proudly earn his diploma while building a lifelong career in the grocery industry. Over the span of 40 years, Rob worked at Save Mart, Albertsons, and FoodMaxx, where he earned the respect and admiration of colleagues and customers alike. He also operated his own business, Moulton and Sons, for a time. His tireless work ethic and genuine personality left a mark on nearly everyone he met, it's said you'd be hard-pressed to find anyone in the grocery business over the last four decades who didn't know Robert Moulton.

In 1986, Robert met the love of his life, Michele Holden, and together they built a life rooted in faith, devotion, and love. Over their 39 years together, they raised three children, Justin Taylor, Levi Holden, and Kylee Nicole, and created a family defined by loyalty, laughter, and endless support.

Rob's greatest joy came later in life when he became a grandfather. "Grandpa" adored his grandchildren Axel, Roxas, Lexaeus, Marluxia, and Vexen, and every moment with them filled his heart with pride and happiness. He never missed a first birthday, a Christmas morning, or a first day of school. His smile, laughter, and gentle guidance will live forever in their hearts.

He loved the outdoors, especially fishing and barbecuing, and could often be found relaxing with a cold beer and good music. A fan of 80s horror movies, heavy metal, and ridiculous radio shows, Rob lived life with a sense of humor and an appreciation for simple joys.

Robert had a vibrant and enduring relationship with God. His faith was the cornerstone of his life visible in his words, his work, and the way he treated others. Despite facing more than his share of challenges, from losing loved ones to personal struggles, Rob faced them all with humility, grace, and unwavering dedication to God and his family. He gave thanks in all circumstances, spoke openly about his love for the Lord, and trusted God's plan through every trial. His faith gave him strength, comfort, and peace, and he lived each day as a quiet testimony to perseverance and grace.

More than anything, Rob loved being home with his family. Whether he was napping on the couch, snoring out loud with the remote in hand, (though he was never asleep, just closing his eyes) cracking a joke, or offering help before anyone had to ask, he was always dependable, always loving.

Rob was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Karen Moulton, sisters Ruthanne Moulton and Rhonda Oliver, sister-in-law Darlene Moulton, and father-in-law Royce Holden.

He is survived by his beloved wife Michele, his children Justin and Alana Moulton with their children Axel, Roxas, Lexaeus, Marluxia, and Vexen, son Levi, daughter Kylee Peer, brother Butch Moulton and his children Heather and Alex Moulton, mother-in-law Lois Holden, brother-in-law Randy Oliver with his son Bryan and grandchild, and brother- and sister-in-law Kyle and Tami Holden and their children Ashley and Jason Goin, Alyssa and Hunter Crist and grandchildren.

Those who were blessed to know Rob will remember him for his kindness, his faith, his humor, and his unwavering love for his family. His laughter, strength, and gentle heart will continue to echo in the lives of all who loved him.

He will be forever loved and forever remembered.
