MICHAEL E. MOULTON
POTSDAM – Michael E. Moulton, 75, passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at the Champlain Valley Physician's Hospital in Plattsburgh, surrounded by his loving family.
Michael was born on November 23, 1949, in Potsdam, son of the late Elwin and Veronica (Doutre) Moulton. He graduated from Potsdam Central School and married Carline Smith on April 24, 1971, at St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Mike was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Norfolk and a former member of the West Stockholm Fire Department. After graduation, he worked in the kitchen at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital and then as an X-ray Technician. He then worked as a patrolman for the Norwood Police Department, before working maintenance and security for St. Lawrence County Buildings and Grounds.
Micheal enjoyed camping with his family and hunting. He was an avid NY Yankees and Rangers fan and enjoyed watching Clarkson Hockey. He loved spending time with his family and cherished every moment he had with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Carline; two daughters, Tina Moulton of Unionville; and Traci (Brian Allen) Moulton of Norwood; four grandchildren, Jared LaBrake, Alicia Moulton, Chase Daniels and Bracin Moulton; three great grandchildren, Charlie, Jace and Raegan; his brothers Danny Moulton of W. Stockholm; and Ricky (Gail) Moulton of Syracuse; his half-brother Richard (Pat) LaShomb of Texas; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides his parents Elwin and Veronica, he was predeceased by a son Michael S. Moulton on May 20, 2023; his half-brothers John and Wayne LaShomb; and his nephew Paul Moulton.
Friends may call at the Donaldson-Seymour Funeral Home on Wednesday, from 4-7 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at the Church of the Visitation in Norfolk, on Thursday at 11AM. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Potsdam.
Memorial donations may be made in Michael's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
