Massena: Leonard A. Beaudoin, 63, of Liberty Avenue, passed away on Friday, September 26, 2025 at his residence surrounded by his family while under the care of Hospice.
Leonard was born on September 11, 1962 in Lockport, the son of the late Antonie and Judith (Jacobs) Beaudoin. He attended St. Lawrence Central School and later married Kimberly Haywood on February 22, 1990. Leonard was property manager for Hannaford Plaza for 30 years.
Leonard was an avid survivalist, skilled in fur trapping, fishing, archery and kayaking. As a young man he developed these skills with family and friends. He went on to impart his knowledge of these skills unto his children and grandchildren. He was a hardworking and devoted provider for his family. His love for his children was unconditional no matter the circumstance. As a papa he gave to his grandchildren love and excitement whenever he was around.
Leonard is survived by his children, Daniel (Jamie) Beaudoin of Brasher, Kevin Beaudoin (Nikole Coller) of Wilmington, Delaware, Jessica Beaudoin (David Newtown) of Massena and Jennifer Beaudoin (Ethan Mariano) of Massena; his grandchildren, Benjamin and Vanessa Beaudoin, Aurora Hance, Novalee and Luna Newtown; three brothers, Gary Beaudoin of Hopkinton, James Beaudoin and Kenneth Beaudoin of South Carolina.
He was predeceased by his parents.
Leonard was a God-fearing Christian who believed strongly in the words of the bible. Matthew 6.6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
