Robert E. "Bob" Mueller, Jr., 85, passed away Friday, December 29, 2017. Born in Akron, Ohio, Robert was the son of the late Robert and Anita Mueller Sr. Bob was a Korean War Army veteran. He worked with the Zollner Corporation for 37 years, retiring in 1994. He was a member of Crescent Avenue United Methodist Church, Korean Veterans Chapter #1; American Legion, Post #82; SW Conservation Club, and volunteered at the Embassy for 16 years. He was active in the Boy Scouts and served as a Cub Scout Troop Leader for many years. Bob loved his family and enjoyed attending all of his grandchildren school activities. Surviving are his loving wife of 62 years, Carolyn Mueller of Fort Wayne; children, Sheri (Philip) Koehl of Fort Wayne, Steve (Marilyn) Mueller of Huntertown, Susan (Robert) Jones, Scott Mueller both of Fort Wayne; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. Bob was preceded in death by his sister, Jean Valka; and brother Dr. Herbert Mueller. Service is 2:00 pm, Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road with calling one hour prior, Rev. Mark Gough officiating. Calling at the funeral home Tuesday, January 2, 2018, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
