His celebration of life will be held at 3 pm, Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at Milling Funeral Home Chapel of Sebastopol with interment in the Sebastopol City Cemetery. Rev. Ryan Brister will officiate.
Visitation will be held from 2 pm - 3 pm at Milling Funeral Home, Sebastopol, MS.
Robert Allen Mullins, Sr. was born in Pikeville, KY, Booker Branch Hollow, on February 6, 1944
(1943). He passed into glory surrounded by his family at home on November 19, 2023, at 8:36
PM.
Robert was the son of William Dewey and Flossie Mullins. He is the husband of Patricia
Mullins; the father of Melissa Cook (Stephen Cook), Flossie Barfield (John Barfield), and Robert
Mullins, Jr. (Shanda Mullins); and the grandfather of Stacy Massey (CJ Massey), Lucas
Lesofski, Megan Brister(Ryan Brister), Sarah Hillman (Rick Hillman), Caelen Mullins, and Allen
Mullins. He had ten great-grandchildren.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Vester, Dorothy, Dorlene, Opal, Ival
Mae, Arlie, Margie, Gene, Donald, and Leamon.
Robert dedicated his life to providing for his family and believed that "a man that doesn't work
shouldn't eat." With a seventh-grade education, Robert advanced from a heavy equipment
operator to one of Irby Construction Company's most respected superintendents.
Robert, or Allen as his family calls him, was a loyal man. He was hard-working and persevered
through even the most difficult tasks. What other blind man do you know who can build a
porch swing for his daughter and granddaughter, unable to see truly?
His most treasured times were when all his children and grandchildren were together under one
roof. He loved a house full of people and smelling food cooking more than anything.
