Vicky Smith Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by M.E. Rodriguez Funeral Home on Feb. 5, 2026.
Vicky Lynn Smith, a beacon of love and laughter, passed away on January 29, 2026, at the age of 61 in San Antonio, Texas. Born on December 15, 1964, in Union, Mississippi, Vicky's life was a testament to the power of joy, friendship, and faith.

Vicky's journey through life was marked by her dedication to helping others, particularly those in recovery. She understood the struggles they faced and offered her support with an open heart and open arms. Her empathy and encouragement were a source of strength for many, and her impact on the recovery community will be felt.

Family was the heart of Vicky's world. She is survived by her mother, Shirley Trew; loving daughters, Alexandra Esquivel and Briana Esquivel Campos; her cherished daughter in love, Anjelyca Garcia; and her devoted son in love, Joseph Campos. Vicky's role as a grandmother was one of her greatest joys, and she will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren, Joe, Oliver, and June Campos. Each of them brought immense happiness and purpose to her life.

Vicky's love for her cats was more than a simple pastime; it was a reflection of her nurturing soul. Her pets were not just companions but members of her family, each one cherished and adored.

As we bid farewell to Vicky Lynn Smith, we celebrate a life lived with purpose, warmth, and an abundance of love. Her legacy is one of kindness, laughter, and an unwavering commitment to making the world a better place. Vicky's memory will continue to inspire and comfort those who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were touched by her life.

Yesterday

My heart goes out to the family of Vicky Smith. I met Vicky when we attended the same Junior college back in the day and then reconnected on Facebook several years ago. Vicky was a sweet person who made friends easily and made you feel like family. She definitely had a huge heart and a great sense of humor. Vicky will be missed by so many. May the memories of Vicky bring you peace... RIP sweet Vicky
