Robert Muscarella, passed away on Monday, September 9, 2024 with his family at his side.

Born on September 29, 1939, Bob grew up working on his family farm alongside his parents and two brothers in Batavia, NY. He graduated from Notre Dame High School in the Class of 1958. Bob was employed as a train master with the New York and Pennsylvania Central Railroads from 1961-1965. He later moved to Boston, MA with his wife, Kayleen, where he worked for Conrail from 1966-1972. During this time, he and his wife lived in Marblehead, MA where their first son, Christian, was born. While living in Marblehead, Bob was introduced to sailing, which became a life-long passion for the entire family. In 1972 Bob took a different position with Conrail and moved to Medina, NY, where their second son, John, was born. The family resided in Medina for 23 years before moving to Point Breeze, Lake Ontario.

Bob loved quail and pheasant hunting with his sons and close friends. Bob had several beloved dogs over the years, including a German Shorthaired Pointer and four English Setters. Sailing, hunting and spending time with his family and friends were Bob’s greatest joys. As an avid sailor, he became a respected and inspiring captain participating in yacht racing and cruising throughout his life.

Bob leaves behind a legacy of beloved family and friends, always embracing a vibrant social life. He is survived by his wife, Kayleen Muscarella, with whom he shared 57 wonderful years of marriage; his sons, Christian Michael and John Robert Muscarella; and his granddaughter, Nina Olivia Muscarella. Also surviving are his brother, Joseph Muscarella; nephews, Peter (Carla) Wright, Michael (Joyce) Wright and niece, Valeria Muscarella. He was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Valeria (Kaska) Muscarella and brothers, Jackie and Michael Muscarella.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, Sept. 14 from 1-3PM with a brief service to follow at 3PM at Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina.
