Sara K. “Sally” Weaver, 87, of Medina, NY passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, February 22, 2026.
Born July 23, 1938 in Medina, she was a daughter of the late Alexander and Mary (Morgan) Watt. Sally was a lifelong resident of Medina. On September 8, 1956 she married David U. Weaver. In addition to being a loving homemaker, Sally owned and operated Gingham Square, a gift shop in Millville. She also enjoyed volunteering with the TWIG Association at Medina Memorial Hospital and volunteered with the Orleans County Junior Miss Program, later becoming the beloved “Grandma Sally” to dancers as the receptionist at the Dance Theater. Sally was happiest during her summers on Lake Ontario with family and friends, where her door was always open and her signature laughter filled the air.
Sally was predeceased by her husband, David Weaver 1994; son, Dennis Weaver 2007; and siblings, John Watt, James Watt and MaryAnn Maak.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Lori (Carl) Palisano of California; three grandchildren, Breyana Brandt, Melissa (Joe) Adiego both of California and Jason Palisano of Indiana; six great-grandchildren, Avery, Layla, Hadley, Landon, Leary and Logan all of California; brother, Ray (Dolly) Watt of Georgia; sister-in-law, Gloria Watt of Texas; and several beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.
In accordance with Sally’s wishes, services will be privately held for the immediate family. Interment will be with her husband and son in Boxwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Lee-Whedon Memorial Library, 620 West Ave., Medina, NY 14103. Arrangements are in the care of Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W.
