Robert James "Jimmy" Nail Jr.

Robert James "Jimmy" Nail, Jr., of Mustang, Oklahoma, passed from this life on March 11, 2026, at the age of 54.

Jimmy was born on January 7, 1972, in Mustang, Oklahoma to Robert James Nail and Sammie Kaye (Dill) Nail. On January 30, 1995, he married the love of his life, Tara McMicken, in Oklahoma City. Together they built a loving life centered around family, hard work, and shared memories.

Jimmy was a dedicated and hardworking man who was employed as a Quality Specialist with Metal Container Corporation. Outside of work, he enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, and camping. He also liked visiting the casino and was an avid sports fan, especially cheering for the Oklahoma Sooners football, the Dallas Cowboys, and the Oklahoma City Thunder.

More than anything, Jimmy loved and adored his family. He treasured every moment spent with them and was especially proud of his grandchildren. His kindness, humor, and genuine spirit touched the lives of many, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Jimmy leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 31 years, Tara Nail; his daughter, Nichole Smith and husband Kyle; his son, Dylan Nail; his two granddaughters, Evelyn Smith and Lillian Smith; and his brother, Marvin Nail and wife Lori.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Sammie Nail.

Services to celebrate Jimmy's life will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at John M. Ireland Funeral Home & Chapel.
