Robert Neal Obituary

He joined the Army in December 1966 and received an honorable discharge in May 1969. He earned service metals and a purple heart.
Robert has lived in Wenatchee, WA, Belknap Springs, McKenzie Bridge, Snohomish, WA, LaPine, and Sweet Home.
He worked in the logging industry as a choker setter. Robert was a member of the Catholic Church.
Robert enjoyed drives in the country, camping, boating, skeet shooting and rock hunting. He liked horses, doing wood work, and collecting coins. He loved playing pool and card games.
He is survived by sisters: Vicki L. Wing, Glenda K. Ericksen, Marsha J. Neal Hendrix; son, August May; sister-in-law, Sandra Neal Klien and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his father, Alvin O. Neal (1962), mother, Catherine Gruendemann (2012), dad, Harvey Gruendemann (2009), brothers: Melvin Neal (1999), James Neal (2013), sister, Sharon Carr (2016).

Best memory. Every time we met for him to visit with August he would show up with Kentucky Fried Chicken and pop, always trying to fatten up August. He had a big smile and lots of hugs for his son. Good father. May he rest in peace.
