Robert Ralph Neidhardt, 72, passed away from a sudden medical event on January 22, 2025. He was born in Kansas before moving to Amarillo, Texas with his family.
After attending Abilene Christian College, Robert started his career with AT&T. During this time, he was transferred to Michigan, Colorado, and Florida. He retired in Jacksonville Beach, Florida after 42 years of service in 2018. Robert lived each day to the fullest. He never met a stranger and had a contagious, upbeat personality. The Beach Hut Café was a special place where he and his wife became a part of a community he considered family. He enjoyed going on cruises, helping others, and spending as much time with his family as possible.
Robert is survived by his loving wife, Belinda; daughters, Nichole (Kawika) Tokunaga of Villa Rica, Ga and Megan Williamson of Jacksonville, Fl; grandchildren, Jery (Willie) Mua'au, Morgan (Jesse) Nash, Eden and Indy Strumillo, Jordan and Vinny Tokunaga; great-grandchildren, Raiah, Junior and Liam Mua'au, and Lilly Nash; sisters, Nancy (Moe) Ray, Kay (Matt) Chisum, and Jana (Robert) Blythe. There are also many nieces and nephews that he adored. He was predeceased by his parents Ralph and Mary Neidhardt; his grandson, Israel Tokunaga and nephew, Phil Ray.
A Memorial Service is scheduled on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Quinn-Shalz Funeral Home, 3600 3rd. St S., Jacksonville Beach, Florida 32250. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the High Plains Children's Home (https://www.hpch.org/giving) in Amarillo, Texas, a home that his father and two other men started.
