Robert Edward Neville, born on May 4, 1941, in St. Louis, Missouri, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2025, in Cottleville, Missouri. He was a compassionate soul, devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose presence brought joy to all who knew him.
A proud veteran, Robert honorably served in the United States Army from 1963 to 1969. His time in the military was marked by his commitment and skill, earning recognition as a Marksman and Sharpshooter, along with a Good Conduct Medal. This period would contribute to the strong values of discipline and dedication that he carried throughout his life.
Robert's educational journey culminated in receiving his GED, showcasing his determination for self-improvement. He was a man of many passions—an avid fisherman who found solace on his boat surrounded by nature. His garage was his sanctuary where he often was found tinkering and creating. His love for photography allowed him to capture beautiful moments, and his heart was ever open to animals, treating them with kindness and care.
Above all else, Robert cherished spending time with his beloved family. His grandchildren were the light of his life, bringing him immeasurable happiness and pride. He is survived by his loving wife, Lee Neville; his daughter, Tina (Tim) Janitch; his son, Randy Neville; and his cherished grandchildren: Brandi (Kevin) Connolly, Jacob (Lindsay) Janitch, Joey (Stacie Spelbrink) Janitch, Josh Janitch, and April Neville. In addition to his grandchildren, he was blessed with three great-grandchildren, who brought him endless joy and laughter.
Robert was preceded in death by his father, Clifford Neville; his mother, Elizabeth Reese; and his brother, Clifford Neville Jr. Their memories will forever be woven into the fabric of his family's legacy.
A visitation honoring Robert's life will take place on April 5, 2025, from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home in St. Peters, followed by a memorial service from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to gather and share their favorite stories and memories, celebrating a life well lived and a heart well loved.
Robert Edward Neville will be deeply missed but remembered fondly for his warmth, humor, and unwavering love for his family. His spirit will continue to shine brightly through the lives of those he touched.
