Mark Meyer Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hutchens-Stygar Funeral & Cremation Center & Confluence Center on Feb. 26, 2026.
Mark Arnold Meyer, aged 66, of O'Fallon, Missouri, passed away on February 20, 2026 in Yukon, Oklahoma. Born on July 13, 1959, in Davenport, Iowa, Mark lived a life defined by faith, family, and a lifelong love of sports.

Mark was the beloved son of the late Robert and Mary Meyer (née Johnson). He was a proud graduate of St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa, and built a successful career in sales, spending most of his professional life with Nestlé, along with a short tenure at Dr. Pepper.

Family was the center of Mark's world. His faith guided his life, and his love for sports created countless memories with his family and community. One of his greatest joys was coaching-he proudly coached each of his sons' sports teams, teaching not just the game, but the values of teamwork, commitment, and integrity. Mark was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan, spending much of his time attending Hawkeye games and watching the games with his family.

Mark is survived by his loving wife, Jamie Meyer (née Murphy), his sons Robert Meyer, Andrew Meyer, and Ryan (Megan) Meyer. He was a devoted and proud grandfather to Cameron Meyer, who brought him immeasurable happiness.

He is also survived by his siblings: James (Carol) Meyer, Jane (Mike) Oliger, and Mary (the late Al) Hite, and his brother-in-law Mike Murphy. He is preceded in death by his mother and father-in-law, the late James and Sandra Murphy.

He is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.

Mark will be remembered for his strong faith, generous heart, and unwavering dedication to his family.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 3rd from 4-7pm at Hutchens-Stygar Funeral Home. Mass on Wednesday, March 4th at 10am at St. Joseph Catholic Church Cottleville. Interment at St. Joseph Columbarium. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Prostate Cancer Foundation.
