William Mocca Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hutchens-Stygar Funeral & Cremation Center & Confluence Center on Feb. 23, 2026.
William Joseph "Bill" Mocca, 68, entered eternal rest on Sunday, February 22, 2026. Born on February 5, 1958 to the late Charles H. and Dorothy C. Mocca (nee Fahndrich).

The beloved husband of Christine Marie Mocca (nee Breunig); loving father of Anthony (Rachel) Mocca, Joseph (Marissa) Mocca, and Katie (Kieran) Carroll; dear step-father of Shannon Newell and Amber (Kyle) Krummenacher; cherished grandfather of Bryce and Lucy Mocca, J.R., Eleanor, and William Mocca, Hailey and Patrick Carroll, Kennedy Riley, and Quinn and Graham Krummenacher; admired brother of Bob (Kim) Mocca, Bonnie (Mike) Polman, and Peter Mocca; he was a dear brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and friend to many.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Carol Mocca, and his brother, Charlie "Butch" Mocca.

Bill leaves behind a legacy of love, adventure, and invention. A true outdoorsman, Bill's passion for hunting and fishing led him on countless journeys into nature, where he found both peace and inspiration. He was an inventor at heart, always creating something new, and his entrepreneurial spirit shaped the lives of those who worked alongside him. A poet in his own right, Bill had a gift for capturing the beauty of life in words. But above all, his greatest achievement was the family he cherished - a family that will carry his memory forward with love, laughter, and the enduring lessons he imparted. His legacy will live on in the wild places he roamed and the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know him.

A visitation will be held Thursday, February 26, 2026 from 4pm - 8pm at Hutchens-Stygar Funeral & Cremation Center. A private service will be held at the family cemetery with close family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Disabled Athlete Sports Association, Share the Harvest of Missouri, or Community Living Inc.
