Robert Anthony Nigro

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Robert A. Nigro, age 68, who departed this world on September 14, 2024 peacefully in his sleep.
Bob, as he was known to everyone, was born in Cleveland, Ohio on December 20, 1955, the son of Robert and Therese Nigro. He graduated from Brooklyn High School in 1974. Bob was a dedicated truck driver who could navigate his way with ease throughout Cuyahoga County prior to the days of the GPS. He also spent years working as a landscaper in the family lawn care business.
Bob always had a love of cars and as a young man was skilled in auto mechanics offering his services to family and friends. He also loved playing in a softball league with his brother and cousins, their team even won the championship one year. He was quite competitive when playing any kind of game.
Bob lived a quiet and simple life. He made friends everywhere he went. He enjoyed watching Ohio State football and of course was an avid Cleveland Browns fan.
Bob's greatest attribute was his devotion to his family, especially his son Rob. When Rob married, he expanded his devotion to his daughter-in-law Kaylee (Young) and his grandchildren Willow and Weston. During the last three years Bob dedicated his time to helping them in any way possible from babysitting to yard work. Becoming a Grandpa was the joy of his life and he cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren, spending time with them almost daily. Bob will be greatly missed by all.
Bob is also survived by his siblings Barbara (Tom) Wright, John (Sharon) Nigro and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Terrie Lefik.
To honor Bob's memory please join us for a celebration of his life on Sunday, September 29, 2024 at The Church of St. Clarence, 30106 Lorain Rd., North Olmsted, Ohio, in the Terrace Room (located under the gift shop) between the hours of 4p.m. to 8 p.m.
