Robert “Rob” Beha Noles, Born June 23, 1941, in Louisville, Kentucky, son of Harry J Noles Sr and Aneita Finnell Beha Noles, passed away January 7, 2025, at his and his wife Dyann’s home in Madisonville, St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana.

Rob is survived by his first wife, Joan, and their two sons, Robert J (wife Meli) and Geoffrey K. (wife Leah.) Survived by his wife, Dyann, her sisters Fayth Hill (husband Clay) and Sheila Underwood. Also survived by many loving nephews, nieces and cousins.

Rob was predeceased by his parents, brother Harry J Noles Jr. and stepson Todd.

Rob graduated from the University of Kentucky with a BSME and was a life-time member of UK Alumni. He was also a Kentucky Colonel. He started his working career with Babcock & Wilcox designing steam generators for major power generation companies. He progressed into management in different positions within Babcock & Wilcox; his most memorable was the work he did during the building of the USS Nimitz while Adm. Rickover oversaw the U S Navy nuclear program. After B&W was acquired by McDermott, International, he worked in various US locations and retired from B&W with 25 years of service.

In retirement, Rob enjoyed playing golf, at which he was quite good. He also began doing genealogy and eventually Genetic Genealogy. He acquired hundreds of books and papers, which he kept. He has a huge database of family names as well as British Royalty and the Bible. In 2010, he realized that he enjoyed cruising; he and Dyann took several cruises to various islands in the Caribbean.

Thanks and appreciation to doctors, nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, CNAs and Pharmacy staff from Ochsner Clinic, St. Tammany Parish Hospital, Ochsner Home Health and St. Tammany Home Health. Rob was lovingly cared for by St. Tammany Hospice.

A Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 10AM, followed by a Funeral Service at 12PM at Bagnell & Son Funeral Home of Covington, LA.
