Robert "Bob" DeWayne Ray Obadencio, 42, of Kingsford Heights, IN, passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Community Hospital-Munster.
He was born on January 31, 1983, in Honolulu, HI, to Don and Connie (Wills) Obadencio.
On September 21, 2013, in Kingsbury, IN, he married Dawn (Park) Obadencio who survives. He and Dawn enjoyed over 22 years of love, adventure, and family.
Also surviving are his 5 cherished children, Gabrielle, Alaura, Zoey, Myana and Kona Obadencio, all of Kingsford Heights; mother, Connie Obadencio of Kingsford Heights; sister, Puanani (Larry) Crittendon of La Porte; brother, Michael (Melissa Campos) Obadencio of Kingsford Heights; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Don Obadencio, and grandparents.
Bob worked as a plumber for many years at Ohana Sewer and Drain. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing guitar, camping, archery, shooting guns, checking his trail cams, and working in his workshop. Bob was a huge 49ers fan. He was a selfless man, often smoking meat for others to enjoy. Most importantly, Bob dearly loved his family and made them a priority. He loved doing things with his children, including watching them play volleyball.
As a last generous gift, Bob's family chose organ donation for him.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Pastor Bruce Vermilyer officiating.
A time of visitation will be held from 12 p.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home. Cremation will take place following the service.
Memorial donations may be made to the family c/o Dawn Obadencio, 2900 Monroe Street, La Porte, IN 46350 or to the donor's choice.
